Plastic pallets can be thermoformed. PP and HDPE of thickness between 3 mm and 10 mm can be used. Thermoformed pallets have several advantages over wood and injected pallets:

- smaller wall thickness
- smaller residual tension (less breakable)
- lower weight
- lower cost of tooling and smaller runs of pallets and transport trays are possible.

The Supravac-2 machine (single station and double oven) is made for producing PP or PEAD Pallets. The RV-2 machine (double station, double oven) with rotary frames is good for this application and has a larger mold for the production of PEAD pallets.

Important technologies in molding these components are: double oven heating, PID control with auto-tuning in both ovens, pre-blow and plug assist. A feature of the Supravac-2 machine is that it supports the plastic sheet during the heating cycle, allowing better-quality parts to be made because the heating is uniform but there is no sag.
